Joint ventures

We set up joint ventures with producers, co-operatives, trading companies and wineries. These partnerships enable us to utilise synergy effects and to improve quality even more.

  Producers
Back in the mid-fifties the Adam Trautwein Winery started purchasing not only wines and musts but also grapes from the producers. Many wine-growers have now been supplying Trautwein for three generations. Long-term contracts have been concluded with the producers, under which fully matured and above all healthy grapes are specially honoured.

  BWG Alzey eG
In 1991, Wolfgang Trautwein acquired the premises of Bezirkswinzergenossenschaft Alzey eG [District Producers Co-operative] along with all the working equipment including 1.3 million litres of tank space. A supply and purchase contract was signed with the members of BWG Alzey. In autumn they deliver approx. 1.2 million kg of grapes to the grape reception in Lonsheim.

Novini Weinkeller GmbH & Co. KG
Novini GmbH & Co. KG is a winery with its own business premises, set up in 1998. It is a merger between Adam Trautwein Winery, Deutsche Weintor e.G. (Ilbesheim) and Reh-Kendermann GmbH (Bingen).
Novini's purpose is to produce wines for the bottled wine market using modern vinification processes.

  Rösch GmbH
The volume of wine to be transported has increased considerably during the recent years. For this reason Wolfgang Trautwein founded a cooperation with Spedition Rösch in 2000. The forwarder disposes of seven truck trailers; one of them a special vehicle with a pressure tank for transporting sparkling wine. We transport about 70 million litres a year.
