The Adam Trautwein Winery is a third-generation
family run company located in Rheinhessen/Germany. Adam Trautwein, the grandfather
of the current proprietor, established the winery back in 1920. The firm started
operating in just a small farmstead in the heart of the village and was run solely
by members of the family. In the course of its history the firm has been systematically
expanded and modernized. Wolfgang Trautwein took over the company after
the death of his father Wilhelm in 1989. The young entrepreneur, is a graduate
in oenology from Geisenheim university. He modernized the management, invested
in an innovative grape reception and modern presses, in the latest winery technology
and in the company´s own water treatment plant. He constructed modern storehouses
and increased the storage capacity to 26 million litres; primarily stainless steel
tanks in tuns of 1,000 to 500,000 litres. He and his 30 members of staff are constantly
striving for innovation and improvement of quality. |
